The company was founded by Amanda Peffer in 2010, whilst on maternity leave and is named after her two children, Harvey Blade, and Issey Rose.''
The inspiration behind the original Blade & Rose signature leggings design came from Amanda constantly pulling down her crawling 3-month-old daughter's dresses to cover her bottom.' This, coupled with a distinct lack of interesting legging designs on the market at the time, created a lightbulb moment for Amanda' Why not embrace the beautiful bottom sticking out and design a fun range of leggings around this concept?!
