Castle Apothecary Scotland is a multi-award winning artisan Scottish botanical skincare brand steeped in Scotland’s rich natural heritage. Inspired by the plants which surround our historical home and with a passion for quality and sustainable ingredients, we source many from Scottish and British growers.
Designed and handcrafted by me, Alison MacColl, an aromatics expert with 26+ years’ experience, our products are meticulously crafted in small batches to help people with dry and sensitive skin. We’re proud our products are handcrafted in Scotland.
Our aim is to help people with dry and sensitive skin by using natural skin-loving ingredients. By choosing locally grown ingredients (where possible), we not only contribute to the economy, but also support sustainable farming practices, Scottish independent beekeepers, and reduce our carbon footprint.
We do not use palm oil or artificial foaming agents. Instead, we use eco-friendly and sustainable premium natural skin-loving ingredients, from oils and butters to natural botanicals. We’d love to be completely plastic free, but for safe use at home, the bottle element in our Garden Spa range is made with 100% Prevented Ocean Plastic™ and our bar soaps are wrapped in biodegradable cellophane.
