The story of our family’s knitwear tradition
began during the war, when a postman in a
small village on the outskirts of Leicestershire
delivered more than just mail. Recognizing
the needs of families enduring harsh winter
months, he started offering classic British wool
knitwear alongside his postal duties.
As time went on, his passion for quality
knitwear grew. Eventually, he expanded his
production, crafting a range of traditional
designs using pure British wool. These
timeless pieces found their way to high street
retailers, many of which continue to thrive
today.
At J.M. Cooper Knitwear, we proudly carry
forward this legacy. Our collection features a

crafted with care in our factory located in
