Hi, I’m Jill - the Artist behind ‘Journey To Joy’ - as a Life Coach & Artist– like many of us, we journey to where we are now, and defining ourselves as just one thing often paints only a part of the picture.
If I were to summarise my art I’d say, I create abstract combinations and otherworldly landscapes inspired by outer Scottish nature and our inner world – but with a deep desire to stimulate ‘seeing’ different things each time you view the images. My love for trees and forests, especially feature as inspiration.
Journey To Joy offers: -
- Giclee Prints (Mounted & unmounted)
- Coasters; Cards; Cushions; Small Pouches
- Journals & Notebooks
- Original Art
Some products are brand new, and are getting a first airing at the show.
My art is created out of my Creative Studio at home near Falkirk, Scotland. ‘Creative’ and not ‘Art’ Studio, because it is from here that I create as a Writer, Artist and Life Coach – all three, requiring different forms of creativity, that somehow are beginning to merge.
I’m drawn to exploring our intuitive connection; bringing out of the inner mind, inviting it to reveal itself on paper or canvas. My art tends more to the abstract or semi-impressionistic, touching on the real world, but ending somewhere else. Seeing where my intuitive self takes the image can be both frustrating and liberating.
In my abstract work, I invite the viewer into reflection, asking them the question, “What do YOU see?” drawing out different meaning to each viewer.
