Originally founded as a charity in the 1940s, Lochaven International Ltd is a thriving knitwear company situated in the heart of Scotland's traditional textile district.

Lochaven creates and manufactures its brand of knitwear garments and accessories for the most prestigious names in the knitwear and fashion industries using only the finest quality yarns.

The company collaborates and co-brands with UK and international designers and buyers, such as Comme des Garcons, to create ranges that they manufacture in lambswool, cashmere, Shetland, and their unique soft felted Lambswool, trademarked worldwide as "Naturefleece®".

Lochaven also supplies garments for the film industry, most notably outfitting the entire cast and extras in the iconic school cardigans and jumpers for every installment of the  Harry Potter movies.

In 2010 Lochaven signed a global license agreement with Warner Bros. to supply replica co-branded garments as official Harry Potter merchandise to retailers worldwide. This includes Warner Bros. attractions and Universal Studios Theme Parks globally, including Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, Universal Studios Beijing, and the recent Warner Bros Studio Tour in Tokyo.
