Mbira Home is a father-and-son business bringing handwoven craft from Zimbabwe's Zambezi River region to UK retailers, interior designers and hospitality.
Every piece is woven entirely by hand from natural ilala palm by skilled artisans, using techniques passed down through generations. No machinery, no mass production - just genuine, sustainable craft. Ilala palm is a naturally regenerating resource, harvested by hand, making our baskets a more honest choice than most rattan or seagrass alternatives. Because each piece is made individually, no two are ever the same - a one-of-a-kind story your customers will remember.
Our range spans handwoven wall baskets in six sizes, utility and storage baskets, vivid coiled wire bowls, and a handmade recycled-metal collection of decorative animals and garden birdfeeders.
We source directly from the weavers, with one of us based close to the makers in Zimbabwe, so fair pay reaches the people doing the work. For stockists, that means a product with real provenance, healthy retail margins, short UK lead times, and free carriage on your first order.
