Shadow Shapes began in 2020, when Covid hit, things stared to look very uncertain for our small family business during the time of COVID. Bruce looked at the skills, tools and materials we had and asked: “What could we make that’s different, beautiful, and meaningful?”
His answer was a unique display concept. Silhouette scenes designed to fit into under-used spaces like door tops and picture frames. He invented a base rail with a jigsaw-style connection and machined a groove so the silhouettes can be slotted in securely and easily.
From the start, we’ve used 100% recycled ABS plastic from our UK supplier, creating products that are both durable and eco-friendly.
What began with a handful of Dog and Cat designs has grown into a collection that includes wildlife, hobbies, and outdoor scenes. Our silhouettes have become thoughtful gifts - loved for their originality, realistic style, and the way they celebrate or remember a beloved pet.
Now a team of five, we design and make every set in Aberdeen, Scotland, selling online via our Etsy shop and Shopify store to 6,920 cities in 40 countries so far.
With a social media following of 10,000+ and a Trust Pilot score of 4.6 we're looking forward to what's to come.
